The most important thing
To enter Egypt, your passport must be valid for more than 6 months after the date of departure.
Meals
On request we can provide you with Egyptian meals. The kitchens of both apartments are fully equipped so that you can prepare your own food.
Swimming pool
There is no pool in the villa. We have given preference to a beautiful garden. However, it’s no problem to risk a jump into the water in a hotel next to ours villa. We will inform you in which hotel you can stay at the pool.
Internet
For your private laptop and your mobile we offer free WiFi access. There are also some internet shops in the village.
Phone
If you stay longer, we advise to buy an Egyptian SIM card (Vodafone, MobiNile etc. ) for your mobile phone, make calls and text messages much cheaper - also abroad. On arrival at Luxor airport, after passport control, you can purchase a Holiday Card. The SIM card costs 10€. Prepaid credit cards are available for 50 and 100 LE. There are several shops in the West Bank and Luxor City where you can buy an Egyptian SIM card. Or we can do this for you.
Medical assistance
If you should become ill, need medical help, a doctor or a visit to hospital, let us know immediately. We can arrange a visit to the doctor for you or call a doctor to the villa in case of an emergency.
Pharmacies
There are some pharmacies on the West Bank. There are also many pharmacies in Luxor town. Most of them offer almost all medicines and some of the cosmetics you can get in Europe.

If you are on the road and need medical attention, call 123.
Mustafa is also available if you have problems (Tel: 0020 100 566 34 68).
Money / Currency Exchange
An Egyptian pound has 100 piastres. Egyptian banknotes are available in 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 pounds (LE).
You can change your money at a bank or exchange office. Or you ask us, we organize everything for you.
Bank
There are two banks and several ATMs on the West Bank. Luxor City is home to a variety of national and international banks. These are open from 9. 00 to 14. 00 hours. Banks are closed on Fridays and Saturdays.
Shopping
There are a lot of small supermarkets, fruit and vegetable shops and butcher shops on the West Bank. You will find everything you need.
Tourist Information
You will find the Tourist Information Office in Luxor opposite the railway station.
Excursions and Transfers
We organize all kinds of excursions and transfers for you. In the menu "Excursions" you will find a selection.
Car, taxi, carriage, bicycle
We organize a car, a minibus or a taxi for you and if you like also a bicycle. Perhaps you would like to discover Luxor in a horse-drawn carriage, we can also organize this for you.
Crossing the Nile
For crossing the Nile you have the choice between the public ferry (5LE per person/trip) or one of the small motorboats. The public ferry opperates continuously day and night without timetable. The motorboats run daily until late at night.
